  I've been taking my dog there for years and have been pleased with the care. I just took her a few days ago for an exam and remembered one question for the vet after the visit. The front desk required I pay a full exam fee again prior to asking that one question. The vet is friendly and I'm sure would've answered my question if she even knew of the issue.

  They refused to give me a written prescription of my dog's current medication. The Texas Veterinary Medical Association clearly states that it recognizes the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Principles of Veterinary Medicine Ethics (PVME), which assert that veterinarians should honor client requests for written prescriptions when the decision is made to treat a patient with a particular prescription drug.

  Always bring my dog here for vaccination. They charge the same low price in office as they do at their mobile clinic. If you have a small concern while getting vaccines, vet will answer your question without charging an "exam fee" if they don't need to do xrays and a full exam. It's good to see a vet office that cares more about your pet and less about your wallet. Overall, would definitely recommend.

  My normal mobile vet was no longer available so I took my dog to a Vanguard mobile clinic. The pricing was great however, they did not disclose to me prior or while talking about buying heartworm/flea prevention that they will not issue a prescription and you are required to buy these items from them. I ordered heartworm/flea prevention as I normally do but the order wasn't filled because Vanguard did not send in a prescription. I called them on two different occasions to have them send me the prescription but they refused. They do not offer the preventative treatment that I normally give my dog and the one they offer is 2x the cost. So now I am stuck not having preventatives for my dog. This would be like me going to the doctor but not being given a prescription because I didn't by the medication from him. This is absolutely ridiculous! I will never be using them again. Too bad they are not upfront and do not disclose this to their customers before service is rendered.
